Raise your hand if you love the beach!
My anywhere but here game is always me lying on a beach on a super sunny day with a stack of books and a margarita.
Ahhh, Heaven.
I may not be able to spend my days that way (yet) but I can bring some of that dream into my everyday with this gorgeous nautical decor.
Put them in the bathroom, light the candles, and sink into the tub with a great book for a mini-retreat in your day.
Materials for DIY Nautical Candle Holders
2 Dollar Tree Blue Candle Holders
Glue Gun and Glue Sticks
Scissors
Step 1
First, clean your glasses and candle holders to make sure you do not have anything on them. Make sure that they are completely dry before moving on.
Step 2
After your glassware is clean and dry, apply some E6000 glue to the bottom of the blue candle holder.
Step 3
Then add some hot glue to the center of the bottom of the blue candle holder so that the glasses stay in place while the E6000 dries.
Step 4
After your glue is applied to the bottom of the candle holder attach your stemless wine glass to it.
The bottoms of the wine glass and the candle holder should be touching.
Step 5
Repeat steps 2 and 3 with your second candle holder and stemless wine glass.
Step 6
Now, let the glued pieces sit overnight to make sure the E6000 glue dries completely before moving on.
Step 7
After your glue has dried completely, measure a piece of the nautical cotton rope around the glued section of the wine glass and the blue candle holder.
Step 8
Cut the rope where it meets and then cut a second piece for the second glass.
Step 9
Lastly, attach 1 length of rope to each candle holder with hot glue.
Display Ideas
Fill the candle holders with a small amount of sand or brown scatter. Then top with a tealight (electric or real) for a gorgeous nautical display.
You can also fill them with sea glass before topping with a candle for a more beachy vibe to your decor. Bonus, the light catches on the glass and it looks stunning!
