Firecracker Party Favors
Step 1 – Measure and Cut Paper
First, grab a sheet of the red and white striped paper and the stars and fireworks paper.
Then use a cardboard tube to measure the height of paper needed to cover it. Then cut the paper to the height.
Next, roll the paper around the cardboard tube to measure the length of paper needed. Again, cut it at the measured mark.
Continue measuring and cutting until you have the number of measured papers needed to cover your desired number of party favors.
Step 2 – Attach the Paper to Cardboard Tubes
After all of your papers are measured and cut, use double-sided tape to attach one piece of paper to each cardboard tube.
I put a piece of tape on each short end of the papers and then firmly pressed one side to the cardboard tube. Then roll the tube and firmly press where the second end overlaps.
Step 3 – Add Treats to Decorative Tubes
Once your cardboard tubes are covered, add your choice of treats to a small square of white tissue paper (about 5 inches squared).
Then fold up the tissue paper and twist the ends. Secure the tissue paper with tape and attach it inside the cardboard tubes.
Step 4 – Attach Garland to Tubes
Next, cut 3 lengths of garland roughly 3-4 inches long for each firecracker party favor you are making.
Then use tape to attach the pieces of garland to the inside of the decorative cardboard tubes so that they are sticking out the top 2-3 inches.
Step 5 – Add Sticker Decorations
Lastly, attach 1-2 stickers to each party favor.
Patriotic Pinwheels
Step 1 – Cut Paper Squares
Start but cutting a 12×12 sheet of decorative cardstock into 4 equal squares.
Then use your ruler to find the center of each square by measuring across the squares diagonally each way and marking an X with your pencil.
Step 2 – Add Diagonal Cuts to Paper Squares
After your squares are cut and the center is marked, cut from each corner in a straight line towards the center.
Be sure to stop cutting before actually hitting the center. Leave at least 1/2 inch from the end of each cut to the center.
Step 3 – Fold Down Paper Corners
Once your cuts at made, add a small amount of glue with you glue runner to one corner and attach to the center of the paper square.
Continue add glue and folding the corners down, skipping every other one. See the photo for reference.
Step 4 – Attach Eyelet to Center of Pinwheels
After your corners are folded, punch the smallest size hole with your Crop-a-Dile into the center of each pinwheel.
Then set an eyelet into each hole.
Step 5 – Make a Paper Rosette
Next, grab a sheet of the red cardstock from your coordinating set and cut a strip with your paper cutter that is 3 inches wide.
Then cut the strip into four 3 inch squares and accordion fold 2 of those squares.
After they are accordion folded, fold them in half. Next, attach the interior halves using a glue runner so that you have 2 fans.
Lastly, attach the 2 fans together, again using your glue runner.
Step 6 – Decorate the Centers of the Pinwheels
After your pinwheels are made, attach your rosette to the center of one. You can use regular glue for this or hot glue.
Then add a fireworks sticker to the center of the rosette.
Finish your remaining pinwheels by adding stickers to the centers of them as well.
Step 7 – Attach Paper Straws to Pinwheels
Lastly, hot glue each pinwheel to a paper straw. Then place in a decorative vase or jar for display.
4th of July Card
Step 1 – Cut Cardstock
Start by cutting a piece of the blue cardstock from your coordinating paper pack in half.
Then fold one half of the cardstock in half along the 12 inch length.
Step 2 – Attach Picture My Life™ Card
After the card base is formed, use your glue runner to attach the large navy blue floral card to the front of your card base.
Position it so that it is longways across the card and about 1/4 inch from the bottom of the card front.
Step 3 – Attach Pinwheel to Card Front
Next, pull out the small pinwheel Picture My Life™ card and attach it to the left side of the card front with your glue runner.
See the photo above for reference.
Step 4 – Embellish the Card Front
Finish the card front by adding the fireworks and celebrate word stickers to the right of the pinwheel.
Then add 3 red star stickers to the light blue part of the card front where the 2 Picture My Life™ cards meet.
Again, see the photo for reference.
Step 5 – Add Interior Card Elements
Lastly, attach the small lined floral Picture My Life™ card to the center on the inside right of your card.
Finish it with a firecracker sticker.

Tips and Tricks
I recommend using the Crop-a-Dile Big Bite for the pinwheels. Otherwise it is very difficult to reach the center of them to punch the holes.
If you use regular liquid glue to attach the rosette to your pinwheel, allow the glue to dry completely before attaching the pinwheel to the paper straw.
The card can be used as a greeting card for 4th of July, but it also makes a great invitation to your celebration. Simply fill out the lines with your sentiment or invitation details accordingly.
