Is anyone else totally ready for spring? We’ve had freezing cold temperatures here for weeks and maybe 2 snowfalls (or more accurately dustings).
I’m so over the cold and ready for the explosion of color that is spring.
That’s probably why I’m getting started now on my spring crafting. It is a great way to get through the winter drudgery.
These vases are not only perfect for spring, the gray lends itself to being paired with a variety of colors and styles for all seasons.
Easy Mason Jar Vases Supplies
3 32 ounce Mason Jars (or whatever size jars you have)
Paint Brush
Dollar Tree Lace Ribbon
Scissors
Gray Chalk Paint (mine was from Michaels but I do like the Waverly better as it covers better)
Step 1
First, make sure that your jars are clean and dry.
Step 2
Next, apply 3 coats of the gray chalk paint allowing a lot of time to dry in between.
If you don’t wait long enough the paint will start to come off when you are painting another coat on.
Step 3
After the last coat is completely dry, cut 3 24-inch sections of the lace ribbon.
Step 4
Lastly, tie a length of lace ribbon around the top of each Mason jar and make a simple bow.
Display and Tips
Cut the lace ribbon shorter if you don’t want as big of a bow as you see pictured. You can also forgo the bows altogether and simply let the loose ends drape down the front of your jars.
These vases are perfect as a centerpiece on your table. I love the white and yellow florals together for Easter but you could also add more pansies for Mother’s Day or even style them with holiday picks for every occasion.
