These also make a great gift for grandparents to display on the fridge. We made some for all of the grandmas on Mother’s Day and they loved them.
The kiddos loved the sticker part the best although from the look of the mess, you’d think they rolled around in the paint when we painted.
I recommended having them wear aprons or old clothes for this craft. Also be sure to protect your work surface with a plastic table cloth or newspaper.
Popsicle Sticks Photo Frame Magnets Materials
- 8 Large Craft Sticks
- Mini Clothespin
- Hot Glue Gun and Glue Sticks
- Acrylic Paint (Color of choice)
- 11/16 inch Ceramic Magnets
- Small, Flat Paintbrush
- Felt Flower Stickers (I got mine at Michael’s)
Step 1
First, glue 1 craft stick perpendicular across 2 parallel craft sticks spaced roughly 3 inches apart. The perpendicular stick should hang over the other craft sticks slightly on each side.
Step 2
Continue gluing your craft sticks onto the parallel sticks until you have 6 lined up.
Step 3
Next, glue a mini clothespin to the top center of your assembled sticks.
Step 4
Then paint the front of your frame including the clothespin with your acrylic paint. Set it aside to dry completely before moving on.
Step 5
Once your frame is dry, glue 2 small magnets on the 2 parallel craft sticks with hot glue.
Step 6
Next, turn your frame back over and decorate it with the felt flower stickers. Keep in mind that the photo will cover part of your frame so focus your flowers on the edges.
Step 7
Lastly, clip your photo to the frame with the clothespin and hang on the fridge.

These popsicle sticks photo frame magnets are a super fun and easy craft that kids can make. I recommend you assemble the frame for them and let them paint and decorate it.
You can also substitute the hot glue with non-toxic liquid glue to let the kiddos use it to assemble the frame. This requires extra dry time so you will have to parse the craft out over a few days.
