Before we get to the tutorial, I wanted to let you know where to find the supplies for these cards.
The chipboard letters and ombre flowers came from the dollar section at Micheal’s. The letter stickers came from the Dollar Tree.
I haven’t been able to find them online for you. Because of that, I encourage you to get creative and use what you have on hand.
Use the card layouts below as inspiration. You can duplicate them with different flowers and letters easily.
The most important part is to keep the sizes the same. The rest can be changed and experimented with.
Easy Mother’s Day Cards Materials
2 Preformed Cards
Ombre 3-D Flowers (1 inch)
1 inch Letter Stickers
2 inch Chipboard Letters
Glue Runner
3×3 Floral Mom Card
Step 1 – Add First Parallel Decorations
Start by adhering your sticker “O” to the center of the front of your preformed card.
Then add one of the lightest flowers directly above the sticker “O”. Finish the vertical row by adding one of the darkest flowers below the sticker “O”.
Step 2 – Adhere the Remaining Letters
Once your center row is finished, use it as a measure to place 2 sticker letter “M”’s in the top left and bottom right corners of your card.
Make sure that the stickers are in a diagonal line with the centered “O” sticker. See the photo above for reference.
Step 3 – Glue On Remaining Flowers
Finish your card by adding 4 more flowers. Keep them in ombre order by placing the lightest flowers on top row, the slightly darker flowers on the center row, and the darkest flowers on the bottom row.
Again, be sure to keep your flowers and stickers lined up. Think of the front of the card as a tic-tac-toe board and you are placing one sticker or flower in each box.

Step 1 – Attach Chipboard Letters to Card Front
Again, start this card by gluing a chipboard “O” in the center of the front of your card.
Next attach the 2 chipboard “M”’s diagonal to the “O” on the top left and bottom right of the card front.
The “M”’s should slightly overlap the “O” because of their width. See the picture above for reference.
Step 2 – Add Floral Embellishments
Finish your card by gluing flowers around the “O” on the front of the card.
I chose to put 2 flowers (the medium dark and darkest) to the top right of the “O”. Then I put one of the lightest flowers on the bottom left of the “O”.
Tips and Tricks
Be careful when adding glue to the back of your flowers if you use crepe paper ones like I did. The glue can pull off the petals if you don’t press against them with your finger while applying the glue.
Fill the cards with your choice of sentiments. A simple hand-written “Happy Mother’s Day” and love is perfect. If you hate your handwriting or simply don’t want to hand write your message, this stamp set is an excellent solution. They’re inexpensive and include basic sentiments for common greeting cards.
